Dallas Jenkins Announces New The Chosen Christmas Special The Three Kings

Creator Dallas Jenkins has announced that the biblical drama series The Chosen will release a new standalone Christmas special titled The Three Kings. The project is scheduled to air on the Fox Broadcasting Network in mid-December, marking the third holiday installment for the franchise following The Shepherd and The Messengers.

Jenkins explained that the narrative originated from material intended for Season 6, but the scope of the story regarding the Magi proved too extensive for the season's production constraints. The special is designed to bridge the gap between the events of Season 6 and the upcoming Season 7. Furthermore, Jenkins noted that the episode will provide essential context for the series' planned theatrical film depicting the crucifixion of Jesus, which is slated for release in 2027.

By partnering with Fox for a national broadcast, the production team aims to introduce the series to a broader audience. While an exact premiere date has not yet been confirmed, filming for the project is already complete.
