Judge dismisses lawsuit against Sean Feucht over donation dispute

A federal judge in California has dismissed a lawsuit filed by businessman Steve Bray against worship leader Sean Feucht and his ministry, Let Us Worship. The lawsuit, initiated in March, alleged that Feucht had misused a $250,000 donation provided by Bray. U.S. District Judge David O. Carter dismissed the four claims without prejudice, citing a lack of sufficient evidence and failure to meet legal standards regarding the specificity of the allegations.

In his nine-page order, Judge Carter noted that the plaintiff failed to identify the internal financial records or specific sources of knowledge used to support the claims of fraud and unfair business practices. The court has granted Bray’s legal team 20 days to file an amended complaint that addresses these identified deficiencies.

Following the ruling, Feucht characterized the dismissal as a moment of vindication for his ministry. He stated that the legal challenge was part of a broader pattern of opposition he has faced while leading the Let Us Worship movement. Bray has not yet publicly commented on the court's decision to allow for an amended filing.
