Texas Pastor Ronnie Goines Named in New Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Ronnie Goines, pastor of Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington, Texas, is facing a new personal injury lawsuit alleging sexual assault. The plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe, claims that Goines used his position as a pastor to groom her after they met in June 2025. According to the complaint, Goines allegedly told the woman that their interactions were part of a divine plan before committing the reported assaults at his home in August 2025 and at her residence in September 2025.

The lawsuit seeks over $50,000 in damages for physical and emotional suffering. In addition to the allegations against Goines, the complaint accuses Koinonia Christian Church of negligence regarding the hiring, supervision, and retention of the pastor. The filing claims the church was aware of prior allegations of sexual misconduct involving other members but failed to take action. This legal challenge follows a separate case earlier this year in which a Tarrant County grand jury acquitted Goines of sexual assault charges due to insufficient evidence.
