European Evangelical Alliance Launches Network to Foster Church Unity

The European Evangelical Alliance has introduced the One People Network, an initiative designed to bridge the gap between indigenous European congregations and diaspora churches. The network was officially inaugurated during the Hope for Europe 2026 conference in Golem, Albania, which brought together approximately 250 evangelical leaders to discuss the theme of "Hope in Uncertain Times."

Coordinated by the Rev. Dr. Israel Oluwole Olofinjana, the network aims to facilitate collaboration amidst ongoing continental debates regarding migration. Dr. Olofinjana, who has served in various multicultural pastoral roles since arriving in the United Kingdom from Nigeria in 2004, noted that the project has been in development for several years. He emphasized that the initiative is particularly relevant now as European churches navigate the complexities of shifting demographics and successive waves of migration from regions including South Korea, Zimbabwe, China, and Iran.

In addition to his work with the new network, Dr. Olofinjana leads the Centre for Missionaries from the Majority World, which provides training for missionaries relocating to Europe. The One People Network seeks to leverage these experiences to foster a more unified Christian witness across diverse cultural backgrounds.
