SLO City Church to Open New Campus at Former Arise Vineyard Site

SLO City Church is scheduled to hold its grand opening at 1775 Calle Joaquin in San Luis Obispo, California, on September 13. The congregation will host three services at the hilltop campus, which previously served as the home of Arise Vineyard Church. Lead Pastor Brent Bramer has characterized the transition as a redemptive opportunity for the local community.

The move follows the closure of Arise Vineyard earlier this year. That congregation decided to dissolve and sell the property after the December 2025 resignation of its senior pastor, Rick Olmstead, who faced allegations of inappropriate behavior. The church had also experienced a leadership transition following the resignation of a previous pastor, Thom O’Leary, due to similar concerns regarding conduct.

SLO City Church, which has been active for seven years, secured the property after Arise Vineyard leadership approached them with a proposal to sell the campus. The acquisition was finalized using $5 million that the church had previously raised toward a goal of $12 million for a permanent facility. The new location will feature full children’s and youth programming during the morning services.
