Veritas International University Announces Renewed Mission and Core Values

Veritas International University (VIU), an accredited institution founded in 2008 by Dr. Norman Geisler and Dr. Joseph Holden, has unveiled a comprehensive update to its institutional identity. The renewal includes a refined mission statement, five core values, and a new visual brand, all centered on the founding conviction that truth is knowable, defensible, and worth contending for. The university continues to focus on biblical studies, apologetics, and archaeology, citing Nehemiah 8:8 and 2 Timothy 2:15 as foundational to its academic approach.

The university’s new identity is summarized by the motto, "Think Deeply. Stand Firmly. Live Purposefully." This is supported by five core values: Truth, Formation, Dignity, Faithfulness, and Wonder. According to university leadership, these values are intended to guide both academic rigor and Christian discipleship. Beyond its degree programs, VIU plans to continue its engagement with the broader community through publishing, media, archaeological excavations, and academic symposiums.
