UniteUS Movement Holds Worship and Baptism Event at Pepperdine University

Thousands of students gathered at Pepperdine University’s Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, California, on September 22 for a UniteUS event focused on worship, prayer, and evangelism. Organizers reported that hundreds of attendees made decisions to follow Jesus Christ during the evening, with many students remaining after the formal program to participate in baptisms.

The gathering was organized in partnership with a student-led ministry at Pepperdine that had been preparing for the event through prayer. UniteUS, a movement that began at Auburn University in 2023, aims to foster salvation, spiritual freedom, and discipleship among college students. According to founder Tonya Prewett, the movement has held events at numerous campuses nationwide, reporting thousands of professions of faith and baptisms since its inception. Organizers expressed hope that the Pepperdine event would serve as a catalyst for further spiritual renewal across California.
