Commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation

October 31 marks Reformation Day, an annual observance commemorating the events of 1517 when German monk Martin Luther posted his 95 theses to the doors of the Schlosskirche in Wittenberg. This act is widely recognized as the catalyst for the Protestant Reformation, a movement that fundamentally reshaped Western Christianity.

While the historical impact of the Reformation remains a subject of extensive study, scholars and historians continue to highlight lesser-known aspects of Luther’s life and theology. As the global church reflects on this anniversary, observers note that the movement's influence persists through ongoing theological discourse and historical analysis of Luther’s personal biography and writings.
