Puerto Rico Hosts Six-Day Island-Wide Prayer Initiative

Christians across Puerto Rico are participating in a six-day prayer initiative titled "Puerto Rico en Oración" (Puerto Rico in Prayer), which began on September 21 and concludes on September 26, 2026. Led by evangelist Nehemías Santiago, the event aims to foster unity and seek divine guidance for the island's families, churches, and future. The initiative operates under the motto "One island. One voice. One united cry."

Each day features 12-hour prayer sessions held at different locations across the territory, moving from Arecibo and Humacao to Dorado, San Germán, and finally the capital city of San Juan. Organizers emphasize that the gatherings are open to the public, regardless of church affiliation or prior experience with prayer. Drawing on the biblical passage of 2 Chronicles 7:14, the organizers encourage participants to humble themselves and seek God's presence. Attendees are invited to pray aloud, in silence, or simply to listen as the event travels across the island.
