Northern Kentucky University removes student photos taken at local parish

The pastor of Saint Thomas Parish in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, has confirmed the removal of promotional photographs featuring Northern Kentucky University students posing on church property. The images, which depicted students in various stages of undress, were intended to promote a student-led production of the musical "The Rocky Horror Picture Show."

Father Ross Kelsch, the parish pastor, stated that the photos were taken without the church's permission. He expressed disappointment regarding the use of the sacred space as a backdrop for content associated with the film, which contains mature and sexual themes. Following a conversation with university president Cady Short-Thompson, the images were removed from university-affiliated websites and social media platforms.

In a public statement, Father Kelsch thanked the university administration for their cooperation in resolving the matter. He emphasized the importance of mutual respect and open communication between the church and the local community. Neither the university nor the parish provided further comment regarding the incident.
