Missionary reports ongoing baptisms and volunteer sacrifices in Ukraine

As the conflict in Ukraine enters its fourth year, missionary Dave Eubank reports that humanitarian and spiritual work continues despite persistent Russian aerial and ground attacks. Eubank, who has been documenting the impact of the war on civilian infrastructure, notes that the ongoing violence has not deterred local resolve or the commitment of international volunteers.

During a recent visit to Kyiv, Eubank performed a baptism for Jasmine, an Australian volunteer reporter who decided to follow Jesus after witnessing the work of aid teams. Among those present were two volunteers, James and Mozzie, the latter of whom was an Australian former soldier serving as a medic. Eubank later reported that Mozzie was killed by a Russian drone strike while attempting to save others at the front lines.

Reflecting on the high cost of the conflict, Eubank emphasizes the importance of standing for human dignity. He states that his team remains in the region to provide aid and prayer, calling for an end to the hostilities and a change of heart among the invading forces.
