Michael Youssef to Lead AWAKE Houston Prayer and Revival Gathering

Pastor Michael Youssef is set to headline the AWAKE Houston event this Saturday at the Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, Texas. The gathering, part of the national AWAKE America movement, aims to foster repentance and encourage attendees to share the Gospel within their local communities. The program will feature worship led by Chris Tomlin, hosting by O.S. Hawkins, and a message from evangelist Ahmed Joktan, founder of Mecca to Christ Ministries International.

Ahead of the event, Youssef expressed concerns regarding the influence of Islamist ideologies in the United States, particularly in Texas. Drawing on his personal background in Egypt, Youssef argued that Christians must remain vigilant and committed to spiritual revival. He stated that the AWAKE America initiative, which currently includes approximately 600,000 participants committed to daily prayer, seeks to address these cultural challenges through Gospel proclamation. The event will include dedicated times for prayer for the city and personal ministry sessions for those in attendance.
