Michael Youssef leads evangelistic service in Amman, Jordan

On September 4, 2026, Egyptian-American pastor Michael Youssef led an open-air evangelistic service titled "Christ Our Hope" at the Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary near Amman. The three-hour event, hosted by Jordan Evangelical Council president Imad Maayah, drew an audience of more than 1,600 people. The gathering was broadcast live via the satellite channel KINGDOM SAT.

During the service, Youssef delivered a sermon titled "Arms Wide Open," based on the account of the wealthy man in Matthew 19. Following the message, the ministry Leading The Way reported that more than 500 attendees made professions of faith. Additionally, the Jordan Bible Society distributed 400 copies of the New Testament to those in attendance.

This event marks a shift in Youssef’s ministry focus toward the Middle East following his departure from his long-term pastorate in Atlanta. Youssef stated that he intends to dedicate his future work to the Arab world, beginning with his efforts in Jordan.
