Lanier Library Hosts Sixth Annual John Warwick Montgomery Lecture Series
The Lanier Library and Study Center in Houston, Texas, recently concluded its sixth annual John Warwick Montgomery Lecture Series. The event honored the life and work of the late John Warwick Montgomery, a renowned Christian apologist, theologian, and attorney who passed away in 2024. The library maintains a dedicated study center housing Montgomery’s personal collection of books, correspondence, and professional artifacts.
The lecture series featured presentations from several scholars and speakers, including Mark Lanier, Nancy Pearcey, Paul Gould, Adam Francisco, Michael Horton, and Craig Parton. Throughout the sessions, participants explored the intersection of faith and intellectual inquiry, emphasizing Montgomery’s long-held conviction that Christianity is a reasonable faith grounded in historical evidence and rational thought. The program highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of Montgomery’s work, which combined legal reasoning, philosophy, and theology to defend the Christian worldview against skepticism.
