Nearly 600 Churches Prepare for Franklin Graham’s Manchester Evangelistic Event

Nearly 600 churches across the United Kingdom are mobilizing for the upcoming "God Loves You Tour" scheduled for October 3 at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester. Organized by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), the free event will feature a sermon by Franklin Graham alongside musical performances from Michael W. Smith, Charity Gayle, and Faith Child. Thousands of attendees are expected to travel to the venue, with organizers arranging hundreds of free coaches from various locations, including Swansea.

This gathering marks the ninth stop of the tour in the UK since its 2022 launch. Franklin Graham noted the historical significance of the visit, as his father, Billy Graham, preached in Manchester 65 years ago. Addressing the current cultural climate, the evangelist stated his intention to share the message of Jesus Christ as the source of truth. Local church leaders, including Anthony Delaney of Ivy Church Manchester, have expressed that they are observing an increased interest in faith and purpose among younger generations, and the BGEA has provided training for local volunteers to support those who may respond to the Gospel message.
