Mercury One Announces New Humanitarian Initiatives for Persecuted Christians in Nigeria

During its 15-year anniversary gala in Irving, Texas, the nonprofit organization Mercury One announced a renewed focus on providing humanitarian aid to persecuted Christians in Nigeria. Founder Glenn Beck, who personally contributed $5 million to the organization's maximum-impact fund during the event, identified Nigeria as a primary area of concern due to ongoing violence against believers in the region.

Mercury One, which has previously facilitated disaster relief and evacuation efforts in the Middle East and Afghanistan, is currently collaborating with partners to develop an alert system for Christians facing threats from armed groups and militias in Nigeria. While the organization explores methods to assist those in danger, Beck emphasized the complexity of the situation, noting that believers should ideally be able to remain in their homes rather than being forced to flee. The initiative continues the nonprofit's long-standing work in supporting persecuted religious minorities through partnerships with groups such as The Nazarene Fund and Save the Persecuted Christians.
