European Evangelical Alliance to Host HOPE 2026 Gathering in Albania

The European Evangelical Alliance (EEA) is scheduled to host the HOPE 2026 conference in Golem, Albania, from October 5–9, 2026. Centered on the theme “Hope in Uncertain Times,” the event aims to unite evangelical leaders, church representatives, and ministry networks to address contemporary social, political, and spiritual challenges facing the continent.

EEA co-general secretary Connie Duarte stated that the gathering seeks to encourage believers by focusing on Christ as a source of present and eternal hope, referencing 1 Corinthians 15:19. Unlike traditional conferences, the event is structured to prioritize collaborative participation and networking over speaker-led sessions. The program will feature plenary meetings, workshops, and worship to foster practical partnerships among national alliances and thematic networks.

The five-day conference is part of a larger series of events in Golem, with four partner organizations—including the Peace and Reconciliation Network and the International Council of Evangelical Engagement with Muslims—hosting related gatherings immediately before and after the main event. Organizers have opened registration and are encouraging early sign-ups to facilitate logistical planning.
