Niece of Dolly Parton discusses singer's private final days

Jada Star Roberts, the niece of country music icon Dolly Parton, recently shared that her aunt chose to keep her health struggles private to avoid worrying her fans. Parton, who was 80 years old, passed away on August 25 following a battle with cancer. Her nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced the death on behalf of the family, stating that the singer had lived in the light and was now in the arms of Jesus.

In an interview with the program Extra, Roberts described the family's experience as surreal and difficult, noting that the public outpouring of support has provided comfort during their mourning. Reflecting on her aunt's character, Roberts recalled Parton’s encouragement to remain hardworking and to love others deeply. Roberts, a singer and songwriter who previously appeared on the reality show Claim to Fame, expressed gratitude for her aunt’s influence and shared that she finds peace in the belief that Parton is now at rest.
