Former Muslim Shares Testimony of Faith Amidst Severe Persecution

Bassam, a Christian living on the Arabian Peninsula, is sharing his story of conversion and the subsequent hardships he has faced for his faith. Featured in a video for the International Day of Prayer for Persecuted Christians, Bassam recounts how his decision to follow Jesus led to being disowned by his father, evicted by his wife, and physically assaulted by his brothers-in-law. He also reports having been imprisoned for his beliefs.

Despite these challenges, Bassam maintains that he cannot remain silent about his faith. He describes his life before conversion as being "spiritually asleep" and expresses a firm commitment to continue sharing the Gospel. He notes that his efforts have had an impact on his family, stating that he has given a Bible to his sister and that one of his daughters has also become a follower of Jesus. The Voice of the Martyrs highlights Bassam’s testimony to provide a concrete example of the realities faced by persecuted believers globally.
