Colton Dixon releases new single inspired by Ezekiel 37

Christian artist Colton Dixon has released a new single titled "Bones," which utilizes imagery traditionally associated with Halloween to convey a message of spiritual restoration. Dixon stated that the song, released on October 9, was inspired by the biblical account of the Valley of Dry Bones found in Ezekiel 37. In this passage, the prophet Ezekiel is commanded by God to prophesy over dry bones, which are subsequently restored to life.

The music video for the track features cemetery settings and skeletal motifs, including a gravestone inscribed with the artist's name. Dixon explained that he intended to reclaim symbols of death to highlight the power of God to bring life to the soul. The artist noted that while he participated in Halloween festivities during his youth, his approach to the season has evolved alongside his faith. He described the song as a passion project that he advocated to release for over a year.
