Georgia Pastor Recovering After Collapsing During Sunday Sermon
Pastor Kenneth Taylor of River Road Mission Church in Demorest, Georgia, has returned home following a medical emergency during a Sunday service. The congregation reported that Taylor lost consciousness and sustained a head injury after collapsing while preaching. Emergency responders were called to the church, and the pastor was subsequently hospitalized for observation.
Medical staff conducted cardiac evaluations to determine the cause of the incident. According to a statement released by the church, doctors concluded that the collapse was likely triggered by a dangerously low blood sugar level, which also caused initial heart irregularities. Following his release from the hospital on Tuesday, the church expressed gratitude for the prayers of the congregation and confirmed that Taylor is recovering well.
River Road Mission Church, founded in 1970 by Ed Taylor, has been led by his son, Kenneth Taylor, since 2000. The church has experienced growth under his leadership, eventually leading to the construction of a new facility adjacent to the original building.
