Charlie Kirk Statue and Memorial Sign Vandalized in Phoenix

A bronze statue and memorial sign honoring the late Charlie Kirk were vandalized at the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 13, 2026. The incident occurred just one week after the statue was unveiled to mark the one-year anniversary of Kirk’s assassination at Utah Valley University. Reports indicate that red paint was applied to the statue's face and neck, while a nearby sign had the name of Jesus and Kirk’s image crossed out, with the word "Satan" spray-painted over the text.

Turning Point USA officials described the act as "diabolical" and cited John 15:18 in response to the incident. Spokesman Andrew Kolvet confirmed that the statue was cleaned and the signage replaced by Sunday evening, noting that the organization is cooperating with law enforcement to review surveillance footage. While Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell stated that such vandalism will not be tolerated, Phoenix police reported that no arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
