Two Arrested Following Altercation Between Protesters and Street Evangelist in Dallas

Two individuals were arrested on September 10, 2026, following a confrontation near the Republican National Midterm Convention in Dallas, Texas. According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to reports of protesters blocking a road and assaulting a counter-protester near the American Airlines Center. Hunter Holmes, 23, and Adrian Garcia, 19, were taken into custody and face charges including misdemeanor assault and obstructing a highway.

The incident involved street evangelist Christopher Svochak, who was preaching with his group, Kingdom Reconcilers, at the time of the encounter. Video footage shared on social media shows masked individuals in black bloc-style gear shoving Svochak. While Svochak reported that he was attacked by members of an Antifa-affiliated group, police confirmed that no medical treatment was required for those involved in the altercation.

Authorities identified the suspects as members of the Community Liberation Brigade, a group linked to the former Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club. Svochak stated that the confrontation occurred after he and his team had been preaching at a nearby park. No further injuries were reported following the police intervention.
