Artists Release Multimedia Project Exploring Biblical Themes Through Music and Art

Vancouver-based artists Joshua and Kaitlyn Rose Leventhal have released the first volume of Tapiseri, a multi-year multimedia project that integrates music and visual art to explore biblical narratives. The project, which takes its name from the Greek word for tapestry, consists of a three-volume concept album featuring 25 songs alongside a series of connected abstract paintings.

The couple began developing the concept in 2021, aiming to create a cohesive work that invites audiences to meditate on Scripture. Volume I features compositions that transition from sparse instrumentation to symphonic arrangements. The tracks address themes such as creation and the fall of man, with lyrics that reflect on Genesis and the broader biblical story. The Leventhals intend for the music and the accompanying visual art to be experienced both as individual pieces and as a unified whole.
