United Methodist Pastor Adam Hamilton Launches Senate Campaign Ad Targeting Political Extremes

Adam Hamilton, pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, has released a new campaign advertisement for his U.S. Senate bid. In the 30-second spot, Hamilton positions himself as a centrist candidate, criticizing both the far-left for supporting socialism and open borders, and his Republican opponent, incumbent Senator Roger Marshall, for his economic record. Hamilton argues that political polarization is damaging the nation and advocates for a middle-ground approach to governance.

After initially exploring a run as an independent, Hamilton secured the Democratic Party nomination in August following a primary process involving 10 other candidates. His campaign platform includes support for raising the federal minimum wage, implementing term or age limits for public office, and maintaining a pro-choice stance on abortion. Hamilton, who previously served on a faith-based advisory council during the Obama administration, has been conducting a statewide tour titled "Leading From the Middle" to engage voters across the political spectrum. He has reportedly raised approximately $3.7 million since the launch of his campaign.
