Actor David Henrie reflects on faith journey and Hollywood career

Actor David Henrie, known for his role in "Wizards of Waverly Place," recently shared his experience of embracing Christianity while working in the entertainment industry. In an appearance on "The Bryce Crawford Podcast," the 37-year-old explained that his commitment to his faith over a decade ago led to significant personal and professional changes. Henrie stated that he lost his agents and his entire inner circle of friends after choosing to decline roles he felt were disrespectful to his new beliefs.

Henrie described his conversion as a process that began during the filming of the 2015 movie "Little Boy." He recounted a "philosophy night" on set where he contemplated the origins of the universe, eventually concluding that the existence of a finite cause was necessary for creation. While he initially felt isolated by his decision to follow Christ, he credits his faith with bringing new, supportive friends into his life who helped strengthen his convictions and eventually led him to meet his wife.

Reflecting on the passage of time, Henrie noted that some of the individuals who distanced themselves from him years ago have since reached out to him, with some even sharing that they have begun attending church themselves.
