Zachary Levi and Neal McDonough Star in Angel and the Badman Remake
Actors Zachary Levi and Neal McDonough are set to star in a new adaptation of the classic Western film Angel and the Badman, which premieres in theaters on October 9. Produced by Angel Studios and directed by Julio Quintana, the film follows the story of Quirt Evans, a notorious outlaw who finds himself at a crossroads after being taken in by a ranching family. The narrative explores themes of mercy and transformation as Evans, played by Levi, must choose between his violent past and the possibility of a new life offered through the compassion of the rancher's daughter, Penny.
Levi, who has been vocal about his Christian faith, described the film as a reflection of the biblical concept of redemption, asserting that no individual is beyond the reach of grace. The cast also features Neal McDonough as Laredo, a character who provides a stark contrast to the protagonist, alongside Tommy Lee Jones, Jean Louisa Kelly, and Barrett Ellis Luca. The film is rated PG-13 for its depiction of violence, language, and thematic elements.
