YouVersion Expands Latin American Partnerships at Mexico City Event

YouVersion CEO Bobby Gruenewald met with Christian leaders and ministry partners at the Más Vida CDMX auditorium in Mexico City on August 18, 2026. The event highlighted the organization's ongoing efforts to increase Bible accessibility across Latin America, a region where Mexico and Colombia currently rank among the top ten countries for app engagement.

During the gathering, which featured performances by Fermín IV and participation from groups such as The Bible Project and Alpha, Gruenewald reflected on the app's growth since its 2008 launch. He reported that the platform has been installed on over 1 billion devices and expressed an ambitious goal to reach another billion users within the next five years.

Designed for a broad audience, the app offers resources in 2,300 languages, including offline capabilities for users with limited internet access. Gruenewald noted that the platform serves both Catholic and evangelical users, as well as those seeking guidance during personal crises. The Mexico City meeting also served to strengthen the organization's local hub, a network established in 2025 to foster collaboration among regional pastors and content creators.
