Global Bible App engagement rises as UK prepares for Bible Month

New data from YouVersion indicates a 13% increase in daily Bible App usage globally, with 18.5 million people engaging with the platform daily. The organization reports that total installations have reached 160 million in 2026, following the milestone of 1 billion installs last year. Within the app, users frequently searched for terms such as "anxiety," "hope," and "healing," with Psalm 91 identified as the most popular search query.

In anticipation of the second annual Global Bible Month this November, YouVersion is coordinating with various Christian organizations, including Alpha, 24-7 Prayer, and the Bible Society. The initiative encourages daily Scripture reading and will feature public displays in major cities, including London, New York, and Osaka. As part of its expansion, YouVersion is establishing a new UK hub led by Erin Gardner to foster deeper collaboration with local churches and ministries. The UK currently ranks seventh globally for daily app engagement, a trend organizers hope to build upon during the upcoming month-long challenge.
