Sudanese Convert Finds New Beginning After Fleeing Religious Persecution

Saleh, a Sudanese man who converted from Islam to Christianity, describes a journey marked by severe familial rejection and displacement. Following his conversion, he faced intense opposition from relatives, including threats to his life, which eventually forced him to flee his village. As a refugee in South Sudan, he endured years of hardship while struggling to provide for himself and his niece.

After being forced to pause his education due to financial constraints, Saleh received a motorbike from International Christian Concern. He reports that this support has allowed him to earn a steady income, enabling him to resume his studies and pay for his niece’s schooling. Saleh credits God for his survival and faithfulness throughout his trials, stating that the support he received helped heal the emotional wounds caused by his past persecution. He expresses that he now experiences a sense of peace and remains committed to his faith and his niece's future.
