Pray.com Launches AI Studio to Convert Sermons into Cinematic Videos

The digital faith platform Pray.com has introduced a new service, Pray Production Studio, which allows pastors and content creators to transform sermons into cinematic videos using artificial intelligence. The service utilizes AI models such as Google Veo, Kling, and Seedance to generate visuals without the need for traditional film crews or actors. Subscription tiers begin at $19 per month for a base plan, with higher-priced options available for more frequent users.

This initiative follows the company's previous release of an AI-generated Bible series, which has garnered over 70 million views on YouTube. While the platform aims to bring biblical narratives to life in a modern, engaging format, the approach has drawn mixed reactions from theologians. Some critics, such as professor Brad East, have expressed concern that cinematic AI depictions may diminish the spiritual depth of scripture by framing it as an action-oriented production. In response to such concerns, co-founder Steve Gatena has stated that the company does not intend for AI to displace human creativity.
