Reframing Pornography as a Spiritual System Rather Than a Private Sin

In a recent teaching, the author argues that the Church often fails to address pornography by framing it solely as a private moral failing or a clinical compulsion. While acknowledging that personal responsibility and psychological factors are relevant, the author contends that these perspectives are insufficient because they ignore the broader spiritual and systemic dimensions of the issue.

Drawing on the biblical worldview, the author describes pornography as a dehumanizing system that operates through global industries and hostile spiritual powers. By referencing Genesis 1:27, which establishes that all humans are created in the image of God, the author explains that this system degrades both the viewer and the person being viewed. The teaching suggests that the industry retrains the viewer to treat human beings as consumable products, thereby attacking the inherent dignity of both parties involved. The author concludes that believers must recognize these structures as spiritually administered systems rather than viewing them merely as individual struggles.
