American Missionary Charged With Sexually Abusing Minors in Haiti

Maylon Foshee, a 23-year-old American missionary and social media content creator, has been charged in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana with sexually abusing three teenage boys in Haiti. Foshee, who gained prominence for his fluency in Haitian Kreyòl, reportedly worked with Agape Ministries in Gonaives between 2023 and 2025. Federal authorities allege that the abuse occurred between February and December 2025, involving victims who were 14 years old at the time.

According to the federal complaint, Foshee provided financial support for the victims' schooling and allowed some to reside in his home. The investigation began in March after reports of misconduct surfaced while Foshee was in the United States raising funds for his ministry. If convicted of engaging in illicit sexual conduct with minors in a foreign country, Foshee faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in federal prison. While investigators cited voicemails in which Foshee claimed the encounters were consensual, the victims reported being assaulted while staying at his residence.
