Nigerian Pastor Dies Following Snakebite in Plateau State

Rev. Nankur Peter Kundul, a pastor with the Church of Christ In Nations (COCIN), has died after suffering a snakebite while serving in the village of Boltim, located in the Langtang South area of Nigeria's Plateau State. The pastor passed away at the Sabon Gida Clinic following the incident.

Local reports indicate that the region is experiencing a surge in venomous snake encounters, which have reportedly claimed the lives of at least two other Christians in the Gamakai community. Friends of the late pastor have highlighted the incident as part of a broader public health crisis that threatens the safety of local farmers and the region's agricultural productivity.

Community advocates are calling on local and state government authorities to intervene by implementing pest-control measures and improving access to medical treatment for snakebites. They have also requested an investigation into the rising snake population to prevent further fatalities in this vital agricultural hub.
