Netflix to release docuseries on the death of Mica Miller

Netflix is set to premiere a three-part docuseries titled "Death of the Pastor’s Wife" on August 26. The project examines the 2024 death of Mica Miller, the estranged wife of John-Paul Miller, who formerly led Solid Rock at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. According to directors Julia Willoughby Nason and Mike Gasparro, the series aims to provide a platform for Mica Miller’s friends and family to share their accounts and to explore the challenges she faced prior to her death.

The docuseries follows a federal indictment filed against John-Paul Miller in December 2024. Prosecutors allege that the pastor engaged in a pattern of cyberstalking against his wife from November 2022 until her death in April 2024. The charges include claims that he used tracking devices and threatened to distribute intimate images of her to harass and intimidate her. John-Paul Miller has entered a plea of not guilty to the federal charges, which also include making false statements to investigators.
