National Evangelical Council of Peru Hosts Women’s Identity Conference

More than 100 women gathered in Lima on Thursday for the “I Am a Woman” conference, an event organized by the Women’s Commission of the National Evangelical Council of Peru (CONEP). The meeting, held at the organization’s auditorium, also connected regional representatives via a livestream to foster national collaboration and unity among evangelical women.

The program featured sessions focused on personal inspiration and biblical identity. Psychologist Diana García spoke on the theme of purpose, while Pastor Sonia Urrutia de Concha led a session titled “I Am a Woman: Spiritual Self-Esteem,” which explored how to understand identity through a scriptural lens.

CONEP officials stated that the initiative was designed to provide holistic support, addressing the spiritual, emotional, and social challenges faced by women in their communities. This event is part of a broader effort by evangelical organizations in Latin America to equip local leaders and strengthen support networks across urban and regional churches.
