Miia Kallio Appointed Global Director of TWR Women of Hope

Trans World Radio (TWR) has announced the appointment of Miia Kallio as the new global director of its Women of Hope ministry, effective October 1, 2026. Kallio succeeds Susie Pek, who served in the position for three-and-a-half years and is moving into a different leadership role within the organization. Kallio will continue to manage her global responsibilities from her home in Finland.

Kallio previously served as a national coordinator in Finland and as a ministry developer for the Europe and CAMENA regions. TWR President Andy Schick commended her collaborative leadership style, noting her focus on supporting both her team and the women served by the ministry. In her new capacity, Kallio expressed a commitment to utilizing Christian media and prayer to provide spiritual and practical support to women globally, drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Esther.
