Supporters of Lindsay Clancy hold rally outside Massachusetts courthouse

Approximately 300 supporters gathered outside the Plymouth courthouse on Thursday to demonstrate in support of Lindsay Clancy, a former nurse currently on trial for the 2023 deaths of her three children. Participants, many wearing pink, stood in silence before forming a circle to recite the Lord’s Prayer and offer gestures of solidarity. The event marked the largest public showing of support since the trial began nearly a month ago.

Organizers and attendees stated that the rally was intended to highlight the challenges women face regarding postpartum mental health and the perceived inadequacy of medical support systems. Supporters expressed concerns that women’s health concerns are frequently dismissed, emphasizing that the case resonates with those who fear similar experiences. Some demonstrators carried international flags to signify the global reach of the movement.

Clancy faces murder charges for the deaths of her children, Cora, Dawson, and Callan. The trial has included testimony from a defense-called chaplain regarding his hospital visits with the defendant. While the legal proceedings continue, advocates hope the case will increase public awareness and improve the treatment of postpartum conditions.
