Christian singer and worship leader Cory Asbury has removed a shirtless photograph from his social media accounts following public criticism regarding modesty. The image, which featured Asbury alongside fellow musician Forrest Frank and a friend, was originally posted as part of a recap of their recent "Jesus Generation Tour."
In an apology video shared on Instagram, Asbury explained that the photo was intended to highlight the group's focus on health and fitness while on the road. He stated that he had no intention of causing offense or acting as a "stumbling block" for others. Asbury took full responsibility for the post, clarifying that he was the one who shared it, and asked critics to stop directing negative comments toward Forrest Frank.
The "Jesus Generation Tour," which featured Asbury, Frank, and Tori Kelly, concluded in August after visiting 29 cities across 22 states. Asbury expressed a desire to move past the controversy, encouraging his followers to focus on the goal of loving Jesus with humility.
