Country Singer Jelly Roll Expresses Willingness to Follow God’s Direction

Country music artist Jason Bradley DeFord, known professionally as Jelly Roll, recently shared that he is prepared to leave his successful music career if he believes God is calling him to a different path. Reflecting on his recent achievements, including three Grammy Awards, the 41-year-old singer stated that he feels he has accomplished his professional goals and is now seeking divine guidance for his future. He noted that if he felt led to serve in a homeless shelter or pursue other work, he would walk away from the industry immediately.

DeFord, a former convict who has been open about his past struggles, credits his faith in Jesus for his personal transformation. During his Grammy acceptance speech earlier this year, he expressed gratitude to God for saving him from a life that he believes would have otherwise ended in death or incarceration. Holding a pocket-sized Bible, he testified that his faith and music were instrumental in his recovery during his time in prison. He continues to emphasize his commitment to listening for God's direction in his life and career.
