Hillsong Worship Announces New Music Following Period of Organizational Transition

Hillsong Worship member Jad Gillies has announced the release of new music, marking a period of reflection for the ministry following years of leadership upheaval and public scrutiny. The group is set to release three new songs on October 23, followed by a full album scheduled for February 19, 2027. Gillies described the recent challenges as a painful but necessary season that provided an opportunity for the church to reset its focus and identity.

During the transition, the team questioned whether they should continue their musical ministry. After a period of discernment, they concluded that their calling remains, though with a renewed emphasis on the character of God. The upcoming project, titled under the hashtag "Holy Is The Name," draws inspiration from 1 Peter 1:16. Gillies explained that the new music aims to shift the focus toward the holiness of God, prioritizing songs that emphasize divine attributes and help congregants remember their identity in Christ.
