Author Examines Biblical Perspectives on Supernatural Phenomena and Demonic Deception

In his book, UFOs and God: Revealing Deception and Truth Behind the Supernatural, author Derrick Warfel explores the theological implications of supernatural encounters, arguing that phenomena often attributed to ghosts or extraterrestrials are actually manifestations of demonic activity. Drawing on Ephesians 6:12, Warfel contends that these entities are fallen spiritual powers rather than the spirits of deceased humans.

Warfel emphasizes that the Bible provides a clear framework for the afterlife, citing Luke 16 and Revelation 20 to explain that human spirits do not wander the earth after death. Instead, he teaches that those who claim to communicate with the dead are interacting with deceiving spirits. He uses the account of King Saul and the medium of Endor in 1 Samuel 28 as a primary illustration, suggesting that while God permitted the appearance of Samuel, the medium was shocked because she expected to conjure a familiar spirit. Warfel concludes that such practices are strictly forbidden in Scripture because they involve consorting with demons rather than seeking God.
