Former Oklahoma Baptist University President Bob Agee Dies at 87
Bob Agee, who served as the president of Oklahoma Baptist University (OBU) from 1982 to 1998, passed away on Saturday at the age of 87. During his sixteen-year tenure, the institution experienced significant growth, marked by record student enrollment, expanded campus facilities, and an increased endowment. Current OBU President Heath A. Thomas credited Agee with strengthening the university through his commitment to integrating academic excellence with Christian discipleship.
Beyond his administrative career, Agee was a dedicated pastor and educator. He held degrees from Union University, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Vanderbilt University.
