Construction Progresses on Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer Near Birmingham

Construction has reached a significant milestone on the Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer, a large-scale Christian monument located in Coleshill, near Birmingham. The project, which aims to be Europe’s largest Christian landmark, recently saw the completion of its first 188 concrete segments, which were manufactured in Portugal. The structure is designed in the shape of a Möbius strip and is intended to reach a height equivalent to 11 double-decker buses.

Conceived by former Leicester City football club chaplain Richard Gamble in 2004, the monument is designed to feature one million bricks, each digitally linked to a submitted story of answered prayer. Organizers report that over 10,000 testimonies have already been collected. Once finished, the site is projected to attract approximately 800,000 visitors annually. Following the commencement of groundwork last year, the project team anticipates the monument will be fully opened to the public by 2029.
