Construction Begins on Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer Monument
The Eternal Wall of Answered Prayer project has reached a significant milestone with the completion of the first of 188 concrete segments at a manufacturing facility in Portugal. Designed as a 169-foot-tall Möbius strip, the monument is being constructed near Birmingham, England, with an anticipated opening in 2028. The structure will eventually consist of one million bricks, each linked to a digital platform that allows visitors to access personal stories of answered prayers via a mobile application.
Project founder Richard Gamble, who first conceived the idea two decades ago, noted the emotional significance of seeing the physical components take shape. The project team has already collected over 134,000 testimonies of answered prayers, with a goal of reaching 250,000 by the time the site opens. Once fully assembled in Coleshill, the landmark is expected to be visible to approximately 800,000 people weekly as they travel along nearby motorways.
