European Evangelical Alliance Launches Network to Unite Diaspora and Indigenous Churches
The European Evangelical Alliance has officially introduced the One People Network, an initiative designed to foster collaboration between migrant-led diaspora churches and indigenous European congregations. The network was launched during the Hope for Europe 2026 conference in Golem, Albania, a five-day event gathering approximately 250 evangelical leaders to discuss the theme of "Hope in Uncertain Times."
Coordinated by the Rev. Dr. Israel Oluwole Olofinjana, the network aims to address the complexities of migration and cultural integration within the European church landscape. Dr. Olofinjana, who has extensive experience leading multicultural congregations in the United Kingdom, noted that the initiative has been in development for several years. He emphasized that the network is intended to provide a platform for unity as the continent navigates ongoing debates regarding migration. By facilitating partnerships between diverse church communities, the organizers hope to strengthen the collective witness of the evangelical movement across Europe.
