Darlene Zschech Reflects on Worship and Revival

Veteran worship leader and songwriter Darlene Zschech recently shared her perspective on the current state of the global Church, expressing her belief that believers are entering a new season of revival. Speaking on the "Crosswalk Talk" podcast, Zschech noted that throughout history, fresh movements of God have consistently been accompanied by the emergence of new songs. She views the current generation of Christian songwriters with excitement, encouraging them to build upon the foundations established by previous leaders.

Reflecting on her own history in Australia, Zschech described the formative years of the modern worship movement as a time when services frequently transitioned directly into altar calls, leading many to respond to the Gospel. She credits this period with shaping her faith and forging her community of musicians and leaders. While she acknowledged that there was "some messiness" during those years, she maintains that the experience was essential to her spiritual development.
