Idaho Coffee Shop Owner Faces Backlash After Ejecting Pro-Life Group

Jim Sheehan, owner of Wydaho Roasters in Driggs, Idaho, reports receiving numerous death threats following a confrontation with a group of pro-life activists. The incident occurred on August 17 when Sheehan asked Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, and approximately 10 others to leave his establishment. The group had gathered to launch a local initiative called Abortion Free Teton Valley, which aims to provide resources to families and educate voters on an upcoming state ballot referendum regarding abortion.

During the exchange, which was captured on video, Sheehan stated that he and his wife did not support the group's mission. When questioned about his decision to remove them, Sheehan compared the pro-life activists to the Ku Klux Klan, asserting that the two groups represented the same concept in his view. Hawkins, who was present with her children, expressed strong offense at the comparison, arguing that the organization's goal is to protect unborn children of all backgrounds. Following the confrontation, the group vacated the premises.
