Pastor Greg Locke reports federal raid on Tennessee home and church

Pastor Greg Locke of Global Vision Bible Church in Lebanon, Tennessee, recently informed his congregation that federal agents conducted a pre-dawn raid on his residence. Locke stated that approximately 50 to 60 agents entered his home at 6 a.m. on July 12, serving search warrants for his house and his media company, as well as a subpoena for church records. The pastor noted that the investigation appears to focus on financial records dating back to 2020.

Following the federal action, Locke reported that the church’s bank accounts were closed by their financial institution due to the government subpoenas. While no criminal charges have been filed against Locke or his wife, Tai, who manages the church's finances, the pastor indicated the investigation has been ongoing for roughly two years. Federal investigations into religious organizations are typically initiated following criminal complaints, whistleblower reports, or public allegations of misconduct. The Church Audit Procedures Act governs how such inquiries are conducted, requiring high-level approval for audits of religious institutions.
