Christian Teenager Found Dead Following Police Encounter in Pakistan

The body of 18-year-old Christian student Daud was recovered from a canal in Kahror Pakka, Pakistan, following an alleged confrontation with local law enforcement. According to Christian advocate Sardar Mushtaq Gill, the teenager was taken by two police officers from a checkpoint to a nearby canal, where he was reportedly forced into the water. Witnesses claim the officers prevented bystanders from assisting the student as he struggled to stay afloat, with one officer allegedly threatening a potential rescuer with a firearm.

Local authorities initially registered the incident as an attempted murder case at the Sadar Police Station. Following the discovery of the teenager's body approximately five kilometers downstream four days later, the charges were upgraded to murder. Two police officers have been detained in connection with the death. While the investigation remains ongoing, the incident has prompted calls from the local Christian community for a transparent inquiry and accountability regarding the circumstances of the student's death.
